Art Sale Just In Time For The Holidays

Hey, gang- I’m back with some art deals for you. The 2025 con season and a few art shows are over for me. I sold several items at various events this year, but I’ve still got some art left over from them. I hate to store canvas paintings and I could use some Christmas cash, so I need to move some of that original art. I’m going to not only pass along some savings to you, but I will also deliver them to ya for FREE if you’re in the Memphis/Shelby County or DeSoto County area. Cash and carry, only. I will take PayPal or can do a card with Venmo or Square if needed. Happy to drop it off or make other arrangements like meeting you December 2nd from 6-8pm at the MSCA monthly dinner gathering at Garibaldi’s Pizza – 3530 Walker Ave. by the University of Memphis. Sorry, no shipping– and local deliveries only.

Okay, now that all that business is out of the way, let me show you what I’ve got available for purchase. Be sure to click on the hyperlinks below each image if you’re interested to see how each piece was created by me.

First up is my latest B/W monsterpiece- an airbrushed Bela Lugosi/Dracula on canvas that was done for this year’s Monster Market. It’s  24″x36″ painting and I’m asking $250 for it (originally $300).

Next is another airbrushed monsterpiece- my Boris Karloff/Frankenstein. He is 18″x24″ and was listed as $200 at the MSCA “Drawn of the Dead” art show at Germantown Community Theatre. Frank’s been reduced down to $150.

My “London After Midnight” framed marker illustration is also still available. It’s 22″x18″ framed (art is 14″x11″) and done in Copic markers.

I’ve shown it a few times around town now and was originally priced at $150 when it was a 2024 Monster Market exclusive. I’m going to drop it down to $75

I have two of my new round acrylic marker paintings on 10″ canvases- a Sam/Trick ‘r Treat and a Jack-o-lantern/Pumpkin. They were at the “Drawn of the Dead” art show, but are now just $75 for Sam (from $100) and $50 (from $75) for the pumpkin painting.

I have two wooden panel paintings available for sale. Both were done in acrylic marker on Trekell wooden canvas panels.

I have a Count von Count on a coffins shaped panel, and a Beetlejuice on a tombstone shaped panel. Each were Monster Market exclusives at $100 each this year and are now just $75 each.

My “Playing With Your Head” 8″x8″ canvas print is now only $20, down from $30.

I’ve also got several sketchcover comics and zines that will be available for sale out at The Cellar Table Top Games & Comics in Bartlett, TN.

I’m not offering the free delivery on these following items. They’ll have to be purchased in store – 2737 Bartlett Blvd. near Bartlett Park and Stage Road.

“Superman” on a “Superman Of Metropolis” #1 cover – $65

“Walkers” on a “The Walking Dead” #150 blank cover – $100

“Creepshow/Fluffy” on a “Mark Spears: Monsters” #1 blank cover – $100

“Boris/Frank” on a “Universal Monsters: Frankenstein” #1 blank cover – $100

Hand-drawn sketchcovers are 2-sided and done in markers on various comics.

My hand-drawn sketchcovers are all 2-sided and drawn on MSCA “The Good, The Bad, and the Sketchy” zines (5.5″x8.5″ with B/W interiors).

They are all available for $40 each.

“Count” on a Halloween themed issue #1.

“Pigs In Space” on a space themed issue #2.

“Animal” on a animals themed issue #4.

“Chef’s Kiss” on a food themed issue #12.

“Cookie” on a food themed issue #12.

I’ve got quite a few sketchcards available again up in the front display cases at the comic shop.

Each personal sketchcard are one of a kind and are $35 each. My official artist returns (Star Wars, Mars Attacks, Transformers, Zorro, Ultraman, and others) range from $50-100 each. (Click HERE to find out more about what sketchcards are.)

I also have a few of my “Scared Silly” #1 zine out at The Cellar Table Top Games & Comics, too.

These horror themed comic zines are $5 each, and come with a few stickers included. I’m currently working on putting together issue #2, and will have it available for next con season in 2026.

The MSCA’s “The Good, The Bad, and the Sketchy” zines can be purchased out at The Cellar, too. They are $3 each and I did the covers for the last two issues. Some other previous issues are available as well.

And if you haven’t picked up a pack of  my “BATS” trading card set by RRParks Cards here’s your chance. There are 10 base card plus a bonus 3D “LINticular” flicker motion card which changes from one bat to another when you turn the card. They are $10 per pack.

I don’t do any commission work or haggle over any pricing, but I am willing to discount many of these original artworks to find new homes for them- and hopefully make some holiday money for myself..! If you are interested (serious inquiries only!), please shoot me an email at lin(at)linworkman(dot)com with “Art Sale” in the subject line. Failure to follow those instructions or ask me to lower my prices any further may put you on the “naughty list”…just sayin’. This sale ends on Christmas Eve, so if you’ve ever wanted an original piece of art from me or have someone “unusual” on your Christmas shopping list, now’s the time to purchase some- and to be added to my “nice list” of good kids. 😉

Coming up, I’ll have a few pieces for sale at the upcoming Mid-South Cartoonists Association‘s “The Art Of The Game” game themed art show happening in December/January at the Memphis Jewish Community Center (6560 Poplar Ave, Memphis, TN). The show runs from December 22, 2025 – January 30, 2026 and we will have an artists’ reception January 8, 2026, from 5 – 7 pm.

Oh, and before I get out of here- there’s a new “Drawing Funny” podcast available for downloading (run time 56min 9sec). You can find out more at www.drawingfunny.com or listen/subscribe on Spotify, Apple, and most other podcasting platforms. Episode 86- “86’ing Spooky Season, features my adventures at the Beale Street Monster Club and Monster Market, as well as info on holiday events and my art sale. I’m started on my 6th season now, and will be recording an MSCA 2025 year end review episode with MSCA prez Kevin L. Williams soon- “stay tooned!

Have a Happy Thanksgiving, and I hope to see you all at shows in 2026. I’ll have a lot of new artwork available!

Lin
