I did 9 more for this upcoming set, and had some fun getting a bit more cartoony with my style on some of the cards.
First, I started off in pencil…
…broke out my grey Copic markers…
…inked with a black Pigma Micron pen…
…and then finished up with a white Gelly Roll pen and a white Prismacolor pencil for the highlights.
Once done, I applied a light spraying of workable fixative and signed the back of the cards.
It’s pretty much the way I do all my sketchcards.
I love the look of this 1922 silent film, and decided to have it playing while I drew the sketchcards.
If you get a chance to come out to the meeting, be sure to bring some examples of your work or what you’re currently working on, and a few bucks to order off the menu. The meetings are free to attend, you don’t have to be a member, and we love seeing what art others are doing.
Currently, myself and other monster makers have our creations for sale at the virtual Monster Market.
You can see and purchase my monster merch in this year’s online Monster Market by clicking here.
Next post is going to be on Saturday and things go a bit batty for this year’s “Halloween Trick Or Treat” set…see you then!
