The John Ostrander Auction will be from 7:30-9:30 on Saturday in International Ballroom B at this month’s Chicago Comic Con.

Last week I donated a couple paintings and some signed Bushi Tales comics and trading cards.

An auction will be held at the Chicago Comic-Con on Saturday, August 8, 2009, to raise funds for comics legend John Ostrander.

John has recently undergone a series of expensive surgeries and treatments to save his remaining eyesight from the ravages of glaucoma.  Very little of his medical costs are covered by insurance, and friends have banded together to assist him in his time of need.

Any funds raised exceeding John’s needs will be donated to other comics creators facing vision issues or to the HERO Initiative.
