Hey gang-
Last spring I got to work on my first sketchcard assignment- The Empire Strikes Back 3-D Widevision set for Topps.
I’m happy to announce that I recently got started on another Star Wars sketch card gig for Topps. This time I’m working on their Galaxy 6 set.
I’m doing another 106 cards. This time I can do any Star Wars character from the movies, TV, books, comics, etc.
It’s been a lot of fun playing with the Copic markers again, and the cards will be out early 2011.
Speaking of fun- I got the GPW Harley Quinn painting finished! It’s 24″x18″ and airbrushed acrylics on canvas.
The painting is based off of a photo of cosplayer extraordinaire Tara Strand, Gotham Public Works‘ Harley Quinn.
I got started on it at the DeSoto Artist Guild’s Winter Art Show reception, and did a bit more work on it on Channel 3’s Live@9 morning show.
The finished Harley painting is now on display upstairs at Southern Thunder Harley-Davidson in Southaven, MS.
I’ve got a couple other familiar faces on display there through December along with several other works by DAC members.
Next week I’m going to be interviewed about airbrushing by Fox13. Should be on Good Morning Memphis and possibly the news. As soon as I know the air date I’ll post it.
Until then- Happy Holidays!
