Lin’s two minutes of fame on Fox- and sketchy details about Star Wars Galaxy

Derric Curran from Fox13 Memphis stopped by the house on Monday to interview me about airbrushing. My two minutes of fame are up on their site now.

In the interview I painted on a Ming The Merciless portrait and talked a bit about airbrushing on canvases, how airbrushing has kind of become a lost art around town, and showed off some of my Monsterpieces. It appeared a couple of times on Fox 13’s Good Morning Memphis show here today. After the holidays I’ll finish up the painting to show it at Midsouthcon in Memphis this March.

If you’re out and about in north Mississippi this month you can see some of my other paintings around DeSoto County through December.

My Snape and Sherlock paintings are part of the DeSoto Art Council’s Winter Art Show at the Art House on Commerce in Hernando, MS.

My recent painting of GPW’s Harley Quinn (as seen on Ch3’s Live@9) is on display with some fellow DAC members’ art at Southern Thunder Harley Davidson in Southaven, MS.

Also have a couple Sherlock paintings hanging there, too.

The winter show runs through March, but my work at Southern Thunder will ore than likely come down at the end of the month.

Work continues on sketchcards for Topps’ Star Wars Galaxy 6 trading card set. I’m doing 106 sketchcards again this time.

I’ll be uploading more images to the gallery this week as I get them approved.

I’ll also be working on more cards at Comic Cellar this Saturday for the MSCA‘s monthly Sat-Art-Day from 9am-noon.
