No, not getting married, just finished up the Bride painting this weekend.

Was also able to do a couple more sketch cards while watching some football on TV with Nicki at night. Both are done in pencil.

Christopher Lee as Dracula

Boris Karloff as Frankenstein
Worked a bit more on my Vincent Price painting before it got late. I’ll post pics of it next week. Should be able to wrap him up this weekend and start on another. Got one-two more cartoon paintings to do before Thursday’s MSCA dinner meeting and our art show on Friday. Still have so much to do!

And speaking of the MSCA and the October 2nd art show, don’t forget that this Friday is annual Broad Avenue Art Walk. The Midsouth Cartoonists Association will have our show at Adam Shaw’s studio (I’ll have a few paintings up there), and Paula Cravens will have a photography show of tombstones as art at West Memorials (my day job). We did a couple stones for a sign for Paula’s show “Standing Stones”. They’ll be standing out front during the show.

The art walk is free and open to the public.
Hope to see ya there!

My webmaster Nicki has been at it again-
The MSCA site has been optimized for iPhone users. The website will display in an iPhone-app manner, so that it’s easier for iPhone users to navigate. I borrowed a friend’s iPhone to check it out, and it’s pretty neat.

This site, the ComicWhore.com, and MSCA sites are all iPhone friendly. How cool is that! Thanks, Nicki- you’re awesome.
I wonder if that means I now need to buy an iPhone..?
Buy from me!

Speaking of buying things, Nicki also added a featured product on my home page. You can buy a copy of the featured product by clicking on the “Purchase” link under the item, or check out more of work for sale buy following the store link at the top web menu or by clicking here.
A bit sketchy…

Well, I was watching some TV last night and felt like sketching. I tend not to feel like to much of a couch potato if I’m multitasking (folding laundry, writing, drawing, etc.). I looked over and there was Darth Maul looking back at me from an old Previews cover. I grabbed my bags of pencils, pens and markers and drew the sith.

You know, it’s hard to believe that a guy as nice as Ray Park could play such a bad guy- but he’s one of my all time favorite villains and Star wars characters.
You can see more sketchy art in my gallery or on the Bushi Tales boards. I’ve also got a few tutorials there.
Type at ya later,

Well, it’s been 6 months since we re-launched LinWorkman.com and started blogging here.

Thanks to Timmy for getting me the domain a few years back, and big thanks to Nicki for the new site and being my webmaster, and awesome girlfriend. She’s been a big help with not only this site, but my BushiTales.com, ComicWhore.com, and the MSCA sites. She rocks!
Time for some more art show updates.

Fought with humidity/water all weekend so I didn’t get a lot painted, but here’s where I am so far on the Bride. I’ve probably got another hour left- if my compressor and the weather cooperate.

Got started on Vincent, too. He’s going to be a lot of fun to paint!

Did another sketchcard last night while watching “Angel” season 3. It’s the “Werewolf of London” (Ah-wooooo!).
Type at ya later,
